We might be getting to the point where you could have a blog solely devoted to reporting about which bands have sneakers now. Yesterday there was the announcement of AC/DC's Converse line, and today comes news that Mastodon are getting their own Vans. 

The shoes, black hightops that feature the cover of Blood Mountain on the side, are due out in July. Seems pretty random, but I'm betting the dudes in Mastodon totally repped Vans before they got their own shoe. [Pitchfork]
