How this one flew under our radar until now is beyond me, but apparently Masta Ace and (MF) DOOM have been working on a joint album, MA DOOM: Son of Yvonne. And according to Ace's Twitter account, the record has been completed. The underrated Brooklyn rapper also noted that it took "forever to get things finalized" and that he was unable to land a guest verse from DOOM. While hearing him rap on the project would have been great, DOOM did provide beats for the entirety of MA DOOM. So I guess we can give him a break.
We can apparently expect to see pre-order information for the album popping up online soon. Ace is also putting together a 10th anniversary edition of his fourth album, Disposable Arts, that's set to feature certain cuts re-recorded with a live band. Hell yeah.
