“If a thing’s worth doing, it’s worth doing slowly,” claims Massive Attack on their Myspace page. Uh huh. They have been snailing towards the release of their fifth studio album, LP5, since 2003. Whether they decide on a less literal name or not (Weather Underground is kicking around), Massive Attack have announced a UK tour in September—their first since 2003. This could signify release of the album from the slow-moving trip-hop samurais. Tickets go on sale Friday April 24 at 9am.
