Mark Lanegan Band Announce New Album, 'Blues Funeral'

Since releasing his previous solo effort, Bubblegum, back in 2004, gravelly singer-songwriter Mark Lanegan has kept plenty busy. If he wasn't appearing on tracks by his friends in Queens of the Stone Age, he was recording albums with Isobel Campbell. On top of that, he also started up the Gutter Twins with fellow alt-rock singer Greg Dulli, of the Twilight Singers.

But it appears that Lanegan isn't done with his solo career just yet. He announced today that the Mark Lanegan Band, which he's been operating under for a while now, is prepping a new album, Blues Funeral. It's set to drop Feb. 6, 2012 via 4AD and it includes guest appearances from QotSA frontman Josh Homme and aforementioned Gutter Twin Greg Dulli.
