Maritime have signined to Los Angeles' own Dangerbird Records.
The Milwaukee quartet, which notably includes former Promise Ring members Davey von Bohlen on vocals/guitar and drummer Dan Didier, have not revealed a release date for their first album with the label, but have confirmed that it will be released later this year.
Their last album, the downright shimmering Heresy & The Hotel Choir, came out on Chicago-based Flameshovel Records in 2007.
The signing also acts as a reunion of sorts for von Bohlen, Didier and Dangerbird co-owner and CEO Jeff Castelaz. Before founding Dangerbird, Castelaz acted as The Promise Ring's manager before that band's 2002 end.
