Since arriving on the scene via Pumpkinhead's 2003 Orange Moon Over Brooklyn LP, Toronto producer Marco Polo has maintained a steady grip on the East Coast's raw boom-bap scene. Most recently, the beatsmith linked with hardcore spitter Ruste Juxx for this year's The eXXecution, a fine effort only hindered by some repetitive lyrics. And over that span of eight years, Polo has amassed a collection of unreleased tracks and remixes that he has compiled for The Stupendous Adventures of Marco Polo. The 16-track album features the likes of Large Professor, Skyzoo, and Diamond District along with previous collaborators Juxx and Torae, who assisted Polo on 2009's Double Barrel. The Stupendous Adventures is more than just another producer-centric record, though. It acts as a means of holding over fans as Polo works on Port Authority 2, his proper sophomore effort.
