Marc Almond returning with new album

Via Billboard:
Marc Almond, who you might know better as the ex-lead singer of Soft Cell, will return in June with a new album entitled "Stardom Road." To be released by Sanctuary, the album will be a cover and guest-appearance heavy affair. Frequent guester Antony joins Almond for a take on "The Ballad of the Sad Young Men," of Shirley Bassey/Roberta Flack fame. St. Etienne's Sarah Cracknell lends her voice to a version of "I Close My Eyes and Count to Ten," known best for being sung by Dusty Springfield. On his own, Almond handles Sinatra's "Strangers in the Night," Petula Clark's "Happy Heart," and T. Rex's "The London Boys."
Almond's only live dates are in Europe for now, so any big fans hoping to hear "Tainted Love" on stage over here in the U.S. should add that to their prayer list.

Not to sound like a dandy or anything, but that's a pretty sweet choice of cover songs.
