Wow, this is a killer news item. Contact music is reporting that legendary rock producer-turned-convicted murderer Phil Spector has been transferred to the same prison as Charles Manson. And now, according to Spector's wife, Rachelle, Manson wants Spector to produce some songs.
Manson, of course, was an aspiring songwriter before he was convicted if the 1969 murders of actress Sharon Tate and Leno and Rosemary LaBianca. There is there an entire album of Manson music out there (it's called "Lie," and available on Amazon); plus, the Beach Boys recorded one of his songs, "Cease to Exist" and put it on their "20/20" album under the title "Never Learn Not to Love" (you can see those wacky surfer dudes perform it live on TV in 1969 here).
If you put aside the logistics of trying to set up a recording studio in a prison, a Manson-Spector partnership might be interesting. Manson's songs definitely have potential (especially "Look at Your Game, Girl," which was covered by Guns N' Roses), and Spector...well, what else does he have to do in the immediate future?

"Cease to resist," Phil.
