How many have there been now? At least this one comes with an interesting added twist. I Killed the Monster, to be released next week, is the first album out on Second Shimmy Records. As the name might suggest, this is the relaunching of what used to be known as Shimmy-Disc, the label begun by legendary indie producer (see: Galaxie 500, Low, and Johnston himself) Kramer. Those reworking Johnston's songs this time around include Sufjan pairing with pal Daniel Smith, Dot Allison (where's she been lately?), Mike Watt, and Jad Fair.
