Major Lazer Announces New Album ‘Frees The Universe’ + Tour

Fresh off helping Snoop Lion on his Reincarnation, Major Lazer has announced a new album called Frees The Universe, the follow-up 2009’s debut Guns Don’t Kill People…Lazers Do. At this point, Diplo is the only remaining member of Major Lazer, with fellow producer Switch having left in 2011. But being Diplo, he’s got a big rolodex to call cameos from.

Frees The Universe features guest spots from Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig, Dirty Projector’s Amber Coffman, Cash Money’s Tyga, Bruno Mars, Wynter Gordon, Dev, Shaggy, Flux Pavillion, and more. The record comes out November 6 via Mad Decent/Downtown, and Major Lazer will support it with a fall tour. Below, check out the previously-released song “Get Free” (ft. Amber Coffman) and the Major Lazer tour dates.
