Magnolia Electric Co. continue to tour like crazy
Like Bruce Springsteen before him, Jason Molina, the singer-songwriter at the heart of Magnolia Electric Co., seems to make songs destined straight for the ears of the average hard-working Middle American. And Molina is no slouch in his own right. Notoriously prolific, Molina will soon unleash a massive Magnolia Electric Co. box set. Entitled Sojourner, the collection will contain four audio discs and one DVD. It's scheduled for release August 7 via Secretly Canadian. Guests including Andrew Bird and David Lowery are peppered throughout the set's many tracks. For full details, head here.
Molina and the rest of the Co. already toured for a few months earlier this year. So they'll probably take some time off, right? Wrong. The band will make appearances in Europe in June and July, then come back to these shores for an extensive tour that will carry them through October. Wow. I don't even think that far ahead, much less plan a massive tour.
