Magnetic Fields tour in February following Distortion release

In support of the January release of Distortion, the Magnetic Fields have a handful of shows scheduled for February and early March. A limited number of pre-sale tickets are available beginning today at MusicToday, and all shows are all ages.

Meanwhile, you may have been hearing a newly penned Stephin Merritt tune lately in between your nightly television programming. That's because Volvo hearts indie pop. And Merritt is a great songwriter. The two commercials for Volvo's XC-series wagon, "Wheels" and "Showroom," began airing last month and feature the song "I'm in a Lonely Way," which is now availabe on itunes.
