Somehow, this actually happened last week, but police are just reporting it to the press now: On Feb. 3, Robert Hoskins, 54, walked away from a mental hospital in L.A.. Why is this music-related? Well, dude was convicted of stalking Madonna for years, and sent to prison for a 10-year prison sentence in 1995. He did his time, but was transferred to a mental hospital then, due to the fact that he kept stalking Madonna throughout the '90s, even climbing over her fence, and telling her he'd kill her if she wouldn't marry him. The police released this statement warning all citizens, Madonna-included, about him being out:
"Hoskins is highly psychotic when not taking his medication and has very violent tendencies," Los Angeles police said in a statement. "The public is being warned to notify police immediately if he is found, and to not engage him on their own."
The CNN report morbidly adds that Madonna has a world tour coming up, implying that Hoskins has a shot at running into Madonna. Which, yikes! [CNN]
