So, all it takes to keep Adele out of the top spot on Billboard is to be a legacy act coming back with a new album that has you bending your music to new-ish trends. Madonna has the number one album in America this week after selling 357,000 copies of her rave-influenced album, MDNA. Lionel Richie has the number two album in the country, as his country duets album, Tuskegee, sold a whopping 200,000 copies.
But Adele's dominance is still strong, as she sold another 124,000 copies of 21, which brings her closer to 9 million copies sold. See more at Hits Daily Double.
