Mad Catz introduces Rock Band’s first bass

One of the big things revealed about Rock Band 2 at E3, was the fact that they were opening up the game to specialty controller makers. Mad Catz is the first to take Harmonix up on their offer, as they have created a Fender Precision Bass for use with the game.

The controller removes the whammy bar (as most bass’s don’t have one) and replaces it with a volume knob, and splits the strum bar into a pluck and strum bar, which should allow you to strum faster than before. The controller is only for the Xbox 360 for right now, and is available for $70. [Engadget]
