Reports of Rickrolling’s demise have apparently been exaggerated: Rick Astley showed up at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade to lip-sync as a part of a Rickroll engineered by the people behind Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends (which is apparently a kid’s show). Rickrolling is an interesting pop culture phenomenon, because, until that parade, it remained an in-joke among people who frequent YouTube (and Mets games), and virtually unknown to people who don’t. I wonder if this will give Rickrolling new life, or whether or not this is its final death knell. [Idolator]
This is absurd although I like how they had the sound effect of the needle going across a record. Can't believe Rickrolling is not dead still. Astley's career is rejuvenated!
