"Dig That," the Big Jerm-produced collab track between Mac Miller and Cam'ron that dropped a couple weeks ago, was surprisingly good. And with positive feedback comes the urge to do more. Talking with XXL, Mac recently revealed that he and Cam have been "talking about doing a project together," and have recorded three or four songs. When they find time to hit the studio, the Pittsburgh rapper says he and the veteran Harlemite like to joke around and keep it light.
We’re two funny guys. We cut up a lot in the studio, and have a good time and make some dope music. I think the cool thing is that it’s an unexpected collaboration that actually turned out dope. We wanna do some soulful hip-hop shit, while also making some hard shit and some fun music.
I don't know what to say. Mac's right. This is an unlikely pairing that has--with one song, so far--turned out to be better than my (and perhaps your) initial expectations. And who doesn't wanna hear Killa Cam over some nice soul beats, like it was Roc-A-Fella in its prime? Check out the full interview with Miller here. Also, you can stream "Dig That" below. [XXL]
