Now that the whirlwind promotion for his 2008 80's/new-wave homage Saturdays=Youth has come to a close, M83 mastermind Anthony Gonzales is turning his attention to the big screen, providing the soundtrack to a thriller from his native France called L'autre Monde (Black Heaven) that will debut at Cannes this year.
The story concerns a man named Gaspard, who's enjoying love and life in the south of France until he meets a seductress named Audrey, who attracts victims to an online game called Black Hole and compels them to commit suicide in real life. We can only imagine the story gets more sordid from here. The trailer for Black Heaven is below and contains some M83-like sounds that recall various points in the band's back catalogue. [via Exclaim]
