Well, it looks like Lupe Fiasco's new record may not have all the delays and label pressure of his last record, Lasers. Like some other rappers, Lupe is venturing into sequel territory for his next album, though it appears it will come out in two installments. We've already heard a new single from the lengthily titled first installment, Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1, and now Lupe has taken to his Facebook page to announce that the record will drop later this year on Sept. 25.
This is great news if it's going to sound anything like the first Food & Liquor, and for all those fans and critics left unsatisfied by Lasers, the new album might wipe the sour taste out of their mouths. We'll have to wait until September to see -- unless the label starts to mess with it, of course. Check out this TV performance of Laser's "The Show Goes On" below, and keep an eye out for Lupe's new album when the leaves turn. [Rap Radar]
