It's been a frustrating ride for Lupe Fiasco, who seems to face some kind of label issues whenever he wants to release a new album. Just last year we watched him beef with his label, Atlantic Records, until they put out his third (and disappointing) studio record, Lasers. And it's apparently happening all over again in regards to the release of Food & Liquor II, the (obvious) sequel to his 2006 debut. He told the following to AOL Boombox:
"The 'Lupe [Fiasco's Food & Liquor II]' album is [coming out] hopefully. It's not on me," he reveals. "It's not done yet. I'm waiting on my record company, ain't nothing changed. Same business, it's on them."
Christ. The good news, though, is that he has moved ahead with his new electro project, the Soundclash, with DJ Sky Gellatly. They have a charity EP, Don't Drop the Flag, due out soon and you can stream its first single below. It's a remix of Lasers cut "Letting Go." [HHDX]
