During a stop at Sirius Radio's Hip-Hop Nation show, Lupe Fiasco got to talking about the All City Chess Club collective he recently helped put together. In his words, these are the guys who represent the new, fresh voices in hip-hop. He then rattled off the list of contributors, which is absolutely full of talent: Fiasco (of course), Asher Roth, The Cool Kids, Wale, B.o.B., Charles Hamilton, Blu, Diggy Simmons, and J. Cole. Fiasco said Pharrell would be supplying any production these guys would be rhyming over together, such as the forthcoming remix of "I'm Beamin" featuring the whole crew. And while the Chicago MC big-upped everyone he named ("All of them are nice"), he went one step further with Blu:
"Blu is probably the only MC in the game that scares me."
Whether or not any of this becomes a reality beyond the "I'm Beamin" remix remains up in the air. But damn, that's one hell of a list.
