Lou Reed Reveals More Details About Metallica Collaboration

More than a few heads were scratched recently when Lou Reed and Metallica let slip that they'd secretly recorded an album together. It's an unlikely pairing to say the least. Lou Reed recently opened up about the nature of the project in an interview with New York Magazine. Apparently, it's a reworking of the score Reed recorded for American stage director Robert Wilson's version of German playwright Frank Wedekind's "Lulu." Always the feisty interview subject, Lou told New York Magazine that Metallica's Lulu is "maybe the best thing by anyone ever." Time will tell. Lou Reed and Metallica's reworked Lulu score is reportedly out in November. [NYMag]
