Lou Barlow may be recording with his old pals in Dinosaur Jr again, but that doesn't mean he's not his own man. And to prove it, he's releasing his sophomore solo album, Goodnight Unknown, on October 6 via Merge. Barlow describes the new songs as “a cross between my later work with Folk Implosion and my earlier work with Sebadoh…to my ears, anyway.” Let's hope that it sounds that way to our ears as well, because that's a pretty good combination. He's also taking these songs out on the road with the Missingmen (Mike Watt's band) as an opener for Dinosaur Jr. Dates below:
