Los Campesinos! Drummer Quits
NME is reporting that one of Los Campesinos! founding members Ollie Campesinos! has quit the band.
Part of the Welsh band in its original three-piece incarnation, today on the band's website he wrote,"When we first started this band we never expected in a million years that three years down the line we would have done and achieved all the things that we have. It’s been an amazing experience and I wouldn’t have missed it for the world."
He gave no specific reason for quitting (it might have something to do with him having to yell his name whenever he introduced himself), but fans of Los Campesinos! will be sad to see him go.
Last year keyboardist Aleks Campesinos! quit to concentrate on her studies (these kids are all still college-aged by the way), and a video showed her being substituted for Kim Campesinos! soccer-style. Are substitutions allowed in cricket?

Sucks, cause Ollie looked a lot like my friend Ned, and I always wanted to say to him "Yo man, you look like Los Campesinos! drummer," but I kept forgetting. "Yo man, you look like Los Campesinos! ex-drummer" just doesn't have the same ring to it.
