(via Pitchfork)At long last will you lonely American Anglophiles have Someone to Drive You Home. The brainy, brooding Britpop debut from saucy fashion plates The Long Blondes has been given a June 5th domestic rack date by the Beggars' Group. Beggars' had the inside track all along, due to their affiliation with the Blondes UK imprint Rough Trade. Not to toot our own beret, but we were swooning over it months ago. New fans will be treated to four extra tracks, produced by dance savant Erol Alkan (and originally released as b-sides).
Still better news for us insufferable know-it-alls, is the fact that Kate Jackson and her thrift shop street gang will be venturing off of their cramped isle for a warning tour in June, before fully committing to seeing the sites in September.
