If you plan on traveling to Chicago this summer for Lollapalloza, be prepared to go to nightly aftershows. You should know that unlike Manchester, Tennessee or Indio, California, Chicago is a city, and there are things to do other than tripping balls at your campsite when you decide to leave the festival.
Cue the long list of aftershows, compiled conveniently by the brand new website Do 312. It is highly suggested that if any of these shows appeal to you in at all, buy tickets as soon as they go on sale. Many locals decide to skip the high $215 festival price tag for the cheaper aftershow tickets, and most of the bigger shows (like Devo and Dirty Projectors at the Congress on Thursday, The Black Keys at the Metro on Saturday, at any show at the House of Blues) sell out very quickly.
Personally, the Walkmen and Warpaint at a tiny venue like the Double Door on Friday sounds unmissable.
