Don't ever say musicians don't have heart. A benefit concert for drummer Wally "Llama" Ingram will be held in Glendale, a suburb of Los Angeles, on January 31. Ingram is a long-time friend of producer/Garbage-man Butch Vig and has also logged time on the kit for Bonnie Raitt, Tracy Chapman, Sheryl Crow and Eric Burdon. He's currently battling throat cancer. In addition to Garbage and Raitt, the Martinis (featuring Pixies guitarist and drummer Joey Santiago and David Lovering), Freedy Johnston, Victoria Williams and Tom Freund, Keb' Mo', and the Section Quartet will also appear. Vig claims the evening will start acoustic, build up from there, and feature much cross-collaboration. Additional surprise guests are also tipped to show up.
