The quarterly reports of ticketing mega giant Live Nation came out this weekend, and despite Live Nation’s quarterly earnings going up, concert attendance has gone down, according to their numbers. Apparently concert attendance in 2010’s third quarter topped out at 16,489,000 tickets sold, and this year it was only 15,561,000, worldwide. U.S. concert-goer numbers have gone down too, but not as substantially as the worldwide numbers.
What does this mean? Maybe nothing, since maybe it’s just Live Nation tickets that aren’t selling well. We’ll know at the end of this year when total concert attendance is calculated. [HypeBot]
