Al Gore is becoming quite the Bono-esque world-saving rock star lately, isn't he. (And it's starting to show. Did you see him at the Grammys? Dude is bloated!) Not content to penetrate the film world with An Inconvenient Truth, Gore is now charging full steam into the music world. He's helped create Live Earth, a massive undertaking of multiple concerts around the world on July 7 to raise awareness for global warming. Musical acts? The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Snow Patrol, Snoop Dogg, Bloc Party, Akon, Paolo Nutini, and Damien Rice, among others. Seventy-five more acts are expected to be announced between now and July. The locations? London, Sydney, Johannesburg, Shanghai, and cities in Brazil, Japan, and the East Coast of the U.S. to be announced.
