Little Brother, 9th Wonder part ways
Hip HopGame reports that Little Brother and 9th Wonder are going their seperate ways. There have been rumblings of this for a long time, but it's now official.
Pooh also addressed the rumors regarding producer 9th Wonder's involvement, or lack thereof, in Little Brother's Getback. "Little Brother has decided, in the best interest of the group, for Little Brother and 9th Wonder to part ways. There are no hard feelings and no beef. This is just a decision that had to be made so all three of us could move forward and continue to provide the world with dope music.
In other Little Brother news, the N.C. rappers are leaving Atlantic and are adamant that they were not dropped. They may close out their ties to Atlantic by putting out their next ablum, Getback, on Asylum, but that is not certain.
"First, I want to say that Little Brother has not been dropped from Atlantic," Rapper Pooh told HipHopGame. "At this time we are in the process of negotiating our release from the label due to a difference in philosophies."
"It wasn't a situation where they decided to drop us due to lack of sales," Pooh said. "If that was the case, they never would have opened up the budget for us to record Getback."
"We as a group just felt that it was not in our best interest to remain in a situation where our needs were constantly being overlooked. We didn't have an A&R for The Minstrel Show. We don't have any type of relationship with our current A&R. There are just a lot of internal issues that ended up working against us."

you have to admit he's got a bit of a formula going. i happen to like that formula, but sometimes, it's just not workin' for me.

It is a real shame as I think 9th wonder is one of the finest producer around for the classic hip hop. I love his beats but equally I love these two guys as a rappers so I will still rep for Little Brother regardless. I will miss the musical marriage between these guys and 9th wonder. I personally think they filed their devorce papers too quickly. Little Brother the tria had at least another albums worth of LB fatness.

9th wonderful aka Mr.doutgh is the reason LB made classic albums . Te and pooh sould be kissing 9th 's computer right now as we speak. I can't lie I did not like the the way te made it sceam as if pee was out for the money the wholie time 'pee not like that' he is a humbble dude so that's bullshit ,as for te and pooh they will be alright they have a strong rep now.But just remember who made those hot ass beats 4 your first two classics niggaz 'I mean dope beats dope rymyies wtf do yall want'
