Almost exactly a year ago (and probably longer than that, given all the teases), Wu-Tang Clan and D-Block announced they would be joining forces for a new album under the name Wu-Block (get it?). They've released a few songs along the way, but today comes the first definitive statement from the hip-hop supergroup.
The outfit will release a self-titled debut on October 9 via eOne Music that will feature Ghostface Killah, Sheek Louch, Method Man, Raekwon, The Chef, GZA, Jadakiss, Masta Killah, and Styles P. Quite a lineup there, and here's what Ghostface had to say about it:
“This is a unique album combination like carnation milk with oatmeal. And a dash of cinammon. We got killing on lock. It’s like assassination day – nothing but darts being thrown. It’s like Batman and Robin shit. It’s real street shit for the fans. They’ve been thirstin’ for this.”
Hell yes. If you have indeed been "thirstin' for this," we've got you covered in the form of "Union Square," the album's first confirmed song that boasts turns from both Ghostface Killah and Sheek Louch. Take a listen below. [Fact]
