Listen: Weird Al And The Roots Cover Madvillain's "Accordion"

A lot of hip-hop acts have been celebrating their new Twitter follower amounts with free music lately. But they haven't come close to the greatness that is Questlove's gift for reaching 1.6 million followers. He decided that he and his band, the Roots, would cover Madvillain's "Accordion" with Weird Al Yankovic, which Questo preceded with notes of "dog. history." and "son. @alyankovic just MURKED "Accordian" by Madvillian." He ain't kiddin', though I do wish that Black Thought had come through with the DOOM verses. I can only hope that someone, somewhere can come forward with a rip of the audio so we can all play this wherever and whenever we want.

Stream the track on Swift.FM and watch the video for the Madvillain original below. Roots photo by Ben Watts.
