Reykjavik post-rockers Sigur Rós are finally getting ready to release their first album in almost four years. The eight-track (plus three pre-order bonus songs) album is called Valtari and it arrives in the U.S. on May 29 via EMI/XL Recordings.
Frontman Jón Þór Birgisson (a.k.a. Jónsi) co-produced the album along with Baltimore artist/musician Alex Somers. Sigur Rós put on a live stream of Valtari last week through their own website, and now the whole thing is up a week early at NPR First Listen.
