Earlier this summer, Sony announced the release of the video game Sound Shapes for its PlayStation 3 and Vita platforms. Players complete levels by creating their own songs, and the game also features songs by some renowned artists. Beck is one of those artists, and now that the game is out, you can hear the three new songs he provided.
"Cities" and "Spiral Staircase" show Beck's continued love for rhythm in all its guises, and they're pretty addictive as soundtracks to what looks like an addictive game. Meanwhile, "Touch The People" is pure video game music, meaning there are lots of electronic squiggles and it can probably be described as "whimsical." Take a listen to all three below. [Stereogum]
