The legend of Lana Del Rey (a.k.a. Lizzy Grant) has a new chapter today as an early lost album allegedly by the singer/songwriter hits the Internet. A few years back, a young Lizzy Grant was going by the name May Jailer and, supposedly, her album was called Sirens.
The 15-track album is now up on YouTube in its entirety and, while it’s origins have not been totally confirmed, it sure sounds an awful lot like Grant. Rather than the hyper-produced sultry indie sound of Born To Die, Sirens has more of an alt-folk sound. The album is mostly Grant singing sweetly over an acoustic guitar.
