You would think that covering something by Daft Punk would be something that most people would think is too immaculate to do so. But London mood swings Daughter proved everyone wrong by covering Daft Punk's newest single "Get Lucky." The Pharrell lead, Nile Rodgers guitar accompanied return to disco was redirected into a swooning arrangement of hauting and chilling sadness. It totally works. Vocalist Elena Tonra evokes just as much if not more feeling into the track than mister Williams. The song has departed so far from the original's dance agenda that it sounds like it totally belongs to Daughter.
