Australia’s Ta-ku is back on the deck with his freshest reconstruction of Chet Faker’s “Talk Is Cheap.” The original had its down dark brooding beats and percussion along with a saxophone to sexify things up. But Ta-ku brings it down a fewer notches with dizzying synths, high hats, and drums that beat your chest down. He twisted Chet Faker’s vocals into screaming angels harking at the moonlight. If you were a fan of the original and a fan of Ta-ku’s work, the reimagining of Chet Faker’s “Talk Is Cheap” is the realization of both worlds crashing into each other like meteors.
The original version appears on Chet Faker’s debut album Built On Glass.
