Listen To An Unreleased Rakim And Biz Markie Track: “Wyndance”

Given the scale of leaks and premature releases in this digital age, it begs the question as to how catalogs of old haven’t been raided–for better or for worse. Nevertheless, here’s an unreleased joint from the vault of old school hip-hop favorites, Rakim and Biz Markie. “Wyndance” was recorded in the early ’80s at Whyndance High School in Long Island, and also features DJ Rob Swift (of The X-Ecutioners fame).

This track comes courtesy of Gudtyme‘s forthcoming Lunchroom Battles tape, a compilation of old and previously unreleased recordings from the likes of Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh and Nas. For all the ’80s babies, allow the dusty breakbeat to evoke nostalgia below.
