Here comes a huge wave of Beach Boys news. The California fivesome have released "That's Why God Made The Radio," the title track off their new record, which drops June 5.
The band have not all worked together for 20 years but have hit the road this week for an international tour and a number of television appearances. It's the band's 50th anniversary and to celebrate, besides the new record and tour, there's a whole slew of Beach Boys stuff coming soon. There's already a 72-page magazine in stores that comes with 11 of the band's best hits. There's also a career spanning box set in the works for later this year.
"Radio was my whole education," says Brian Wilson. Wilson produced the new album with Mike Love as executive producer. The new song is less "Good Vibrations" and more "Don't Worry Baby", favoring classic Beach Boys crooning over dizzying arangements. Listen below:
