Listen: Noel Gallagher Reveals First Track In Amorphous Androgynous Collaboration

Former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has been promising us a collaborative album with Amorphous Androgynous ever since he announced his High Flying Birds project. It’s not clear yet when we’re going to hear that work in full, but a teaser has been issued in the shape of the track “Shoot a Hole Into the Sun.” This is the B-side to Gallagher’s current single, “Dream On,” which matches the drifty ambient psychedelia Amorphous Androgynous produces with Gallagher’s hazy vocal. It’s reminiscent of a downtempo take on his Chemical Brothers collaboration, “Setting Sun,” and bodes well for that upcoming album. Naturally, it gets a little Sgt. Pepper-like in the final third, with Noel almost living up to his promise that the record is “fucking far out.” [via NME]
