Set to drop his followup, sophomore album to his 2011’s Cole World: The Sideline Story, J. Cole will be releasing Born Sinner on June 18. The album was originally set to drop on June 25, but the North Carolina rapper decided to release the album a week earlier to compete with Kanye West’s anticipated game- changer Yeezus.
He recently released the tracklist to Born Sinner which included collaborations with 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar, and Miguel. His shared track with Kendrick Lamar, “Forbidden Fruit,” leaked yesterday, which features a heavy sample from A Tribe Called Quest’s 1993 classic “Electric Relaxation.” Unfortunately in the newly leaked version, K. Dot doesn’t have a rapped verse and only participates in the hooks. Listen to the track below.
