Listen: Frank Ocean Talks Loving Celine Dion, Being Reclusive, And His Previous Jobs

In an interview with i-D magazine, Frank Ocean opened up on a number of topics related to his career. This included the fact he doesn’t really like doing press because it “seems healthier to be a little more reclusive.” By being that way, he says, he’s able to let his art speak for itself. In regards to his art, he reveals that he sold his first song at the age of 19 and that he worked a total of 13 jobs before going full-time with his music career.

“I worked my ass off doing 13 jobs. So many jobs ’cause I was always getting fired ’cause I was always late. I would be in the studio until five in the morning and then have to get up and go to work.”
