Listen: Four Tracks From David Byrne & Will Oldham's 'This Must Be The Place' Soundtrack
As we previously reported back in January, ex-Talking Heads frontman David Byrne and Will Oldham have collaborated on the soundtrack for upcoming Sean Penn film, This Must Be The Place. The movie, which is named after the Talking Heads tune of the same name, apparently features a plot wherein Penn fights Nazis. And is a rock star.
Anyway, the folks at 24Bit have found four of the soundtrack's 17 tracks available for streaming on YouTube. Three of them are by the Pieces of Shit, aka the musical trio of Oldham, Byrne, and Irish singer-songwriter Michael Brunnock. He actually handles the vocals while Oldham penned the lyrics and Byrne recorded the music. The other track is a live take on "This Must Be the Place" by Byrne. You can stream the songs below.
