In recent interviews, Flying Lotus has been not-so-subtly hinting that he doesn’t mind doing commercial work–in fact, he kinda wants to do stuff like that. Specifically, he’s stated that if someone like Drake ever came calling, he’d have some sweet beats.
Now one of these beats has made its way into the world. Originally confined to a hard drive, Fly Lo himself set it free on Diplo & Friends’ radio show over in England. True to form, “Flotus” is pretty mainstream-sounding, full of the kinds of rattling, Dirty South rhythms you can hear on your local Top 40 station.
