The story behind this recently unearthed Cee-Lo Green demo goes a little something like this. You see, back in 2007, RCA was looking everywhere for songwriters to work with Whitney Houston on what would become her 2009 album, I Look To You. And one of those songwriters just so happened to be Green, who penned the fittingly melancholy, heart-broken "All Alone Now." He also recorded a demo with production from Detroit's Waajeed, who just posted the music to his Bling47 website.
As Waajeed wrote himself, "As far as the lyrics go -- Cee-Lo nailed it! At the time, Whitney was still going though her very public separation with Bobby Brown - so 'Lo wrote the words for Whitney as if she was speaking directly to him." Well put. You can stream the "All Alone Now" demo below.
