Listen: Andrew Bird Shares "Three White Horses," Details 'Hands Of Glory'

Earlier this year, Andrew Bird dropped Break It Yourself, but he already has another album in the works. On October 30, he'll release something of a companion piece to that album titled Hands of Glory via Mom + Pop. The first taste is the stately sparseness of "Three White Horses," which you can take a listen to below. Those who pre-order the album from Bird's website can get the song as a free download.

Hands of Glory was recorded with Bird's full backing band all on acoustic instruments around a single microphone in a church or a barn. The eight-track album features two new tracks; a reworking of Break It Yourself's "Orpheo Looks Back;" and covers of the Carter Family, the Handsome Family, and Townes Van Zandt's "If I Needed You" (which Bird has been covering live recently).
