Even though President Barack Obama declared his love for Mean Girls on Tumblr before the presidential debate last week, the film's star, Lindsay Lohan, apparently doesn't reciprocate.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lohan revealed her political leanings to E! News, and it turns out she supports Republican nominee Mitt Romney. She even has reasons!
Lohan cited unemployment as her reasoning, saying, "I just think employment is really important right now."
Apparently taxes are also extremely important to Lohan, so important that she made her voice heard on Twitter last month, responding to President Obama's words about tax cuts on the middle class and small businesses. Lohan typed that "we also need to cut them for those that are listed on Forbes as 'millionaires' if they are not, you must consider that as well."
Based on the personal nature of this tweet, maybe when Lohan says that "employment is really important," she means her own personal employment is really important to her, although I think it's safe to say that a lot of America would probably argue that Lohan's personal employment rate is too high.
Earlier this week the star of another teen cult classic, Stacey Dash of Clueless, announced that she is also voting for Romney. No breaking news yet on where the Breakfast Club cast stands on the issues.
