In some ways this is a bargain, given the $75 trillion lawsuit the labels brought initially, but LimeWire, and founder Mark Gorton, settled the monster lawsuit brought against them by the major labels for a whopping $105 million. The settlement ends the five-year battle against LimeWire by the major labels, and comes two weeks into the trial. The big question here becomes whether or not the labels take this win and try to shut down sights like MegaUpload, Mediafire, or Rapidshare, where a lot of LimeWire users have turned for their copyrighted material downloads.
