Lily Allen expanding her sphere of influence to include television viewers. The actress, er, singer, having already claimed Myspace as her personal domain, will now have her own program on BBC Three starting early in 2008.

Ingeniously titled, Lily Allen and Friends, the show will revolve around the idea behind social networking sites, with viewers being invited to become Lily's virtual friends online and suggest ideas, choose bands to perform and put questions to guests. Sound like a whole lot of nothing? According to a BBC spokesperson, "Lily is opinionated, funny and charming in equal measure. She's a very natural performer and will be a television star."

Remember when we lived in a simplistic world where musicians were musicians first and celebrities second? Neither do we.
