Lil Wayne's VMA Promo Is Okay, I Guess?

In case you didn't know, Lil Wayne is performing at this year's VMAs, and he's releasing his Tha Carter IVright afterwards. He recently took to an empty room to promote said performance/free Tha Carter IV release party, and the results are less than thrilling. We mostly just get Weezy clowning around doing parts of his verse from "John" in a less than enthralling way. I guess it's wrong-headed to miss the version of Wayne that would have done this high on cough syrup, but still: Dude hasn't seemed as bonkers post-prison as he was pre-prison. I guess time in the clink will do that to you. But then again, I guess you can't judge this promo against what could happen on the show. So, this is just okay, is what I'm saying. [Rap Radar]
